Analyzing Sports
Sports Access shares the joy of learning about sports with fans. Operating both our database system and analysis system, CEO Toshiya Ono writes books on various topics related to Major League Baseball and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). These books are available for purchase on online retailers such as Amazon and as e-books.
Baseball Columns
The CEO also provides baseball columns based on data to newspapers and magazines.
R&D
Sports Access has developed sports gear that prevents finger injuries to players and also prevents elbow injuries in baseball that would otherwise result in Tommy John surgery.
STATS
We have developed a new metric for baseball that focuses on the process leading to runs, simple and easy to understand for everyone. Yes, Sports Access continues to develop new metrics to illustrate player excellence.
Our History
Sports Access Corporation was founded in 2003 in Zushi City, Kanagawa, near Zushi Half Mile Beach in Japan. Founder and current CEO Toshiya Ono developed a baseball data analysis system, provided broadcast data to television stations for baseball games, and authored columns for Yahoo Japan.
Over the years, we have achieved numerous important milestones, including the development of new metrics, and have continuously evolved our business model.
Our mission is to inspire and encourage people around the world through sports. Beyond providing content that enables customers to enjoy their own unique stories, we are also dedicated to developing technologies that support injury prevention in sports.
